The event, which it is hoped will be the first of a series of annual events, was sponsored by Surrey Heath Arts Council, Chancellor and Sons, S.C. Johnson and the Surrey County Council Members’ Allocation Fund.

The Adjudicator, Timothy Barratt from the Royal College of Music praised the very high standard of musical talent when he announced the winners.

The Mayor of Surrey Heath, Councillor Alan Whittart presented the prizes.
